Twitch edge Youtube in the Video Game Content Industry

When it comes to videos online, the first thing in mind would be Youtube. But when it comes to Gaming Content , Twitch is ahead of this industry. According to a study by SuperData Research, Twitch took the largest revenue share in the video game content industry, 43 % out of the  USD 3.8 billion market (USD 1.6 billion. Although Youtube have a higher percentage of the total global viewers (73%) in 2015 than Twitch(53%), Youtube only manage to claimed 36% of the game content industry total global revenue.

With the emerging market of e-Sports, there is no doubt that Google and Amazon are directly investing into this industry. This competition is tighter as Youtube is coming up with their own gaming site dedicated for gaming videos and streams to compete with Twitch. Competitions like this will definitely bring in more growth to the industry as organizers, players and fans will be spoilt with more choices.

It will be exciting to see what e-Sports will evolved into  and offer to its fans in the near future.
